2024 Winter Season Junior Tennis Finals Wrap Up

Last weekend was junior tennis finals across the Waverley & District Tennis Association and Berwick & District Tennis Association.

Outstanding results were achieved in both district competitions. Vermont South was represented by seven teams in the Saturday morning juniors and five teams in the Sunday competition. Fountain Gate had three teams who achieved a triple hit and were all successful premiers. Belgrave Heights and Upwey-Tecoma were represented by four teams achieving a runners up for Belgrave Heights.

As with all junior sporting season competitions, we must thank all volunteering parents and supporters whom make these activities possible for our players.

Result - Mountain Gate 2 Rubbers, 39 games  vs Vermont South 1 Rubber, 39 games

Vermont South Black vs Vermont South White

A super close result - Vermont South Black 4 sets, 24 games to Vermont South White 2 sets, 22 games.

Vermont South vs Nottinghill Pinewood (away)

Notting Hill 4 sets, 31 games to Vermont South 2 sets, 26 games

Vermont South vs Vermont (away)

Result: Vermont 5 sets, 33 games to Vermont South 1 set, 24 games.

Vermont South vs Burwood

Result: Tie 3 sets each, Burwood 30 games, Vermont South 25 games
