WINTER SEASON JUNIORS WRAP UP
The winter tennis season is a wrap and what a season it was for Vermont South Tennis Club!
We had 10 junior teams competing across the WDTA Saturday and Sunday morning competitions, with our players representing the club extremely well throughout the season. Two teams progressed all the way through to their respective Grand Finals.

Our B Special boys played a very close Grand Final at home and, while they fell just short of the title, they can be extremely proud of their season and their runners-up pennant. A fantastic effort from the boys!
🏆 B2 Rubbers – CHAMPIONS!

Our B2 boys went one better, claiming the flag and taking home all the chocolates. A terrific result and a well-deserved reward for an excellent season.
Congratulations, boys!
The momentum continues into summer, with a recent record of 12 VSTC junior teams entered for the upcoming season.
Even more pleasing is that two of these teams are made up of players beginning their very first season of competition, with most aged under 10. It is fantastic to see the next generation of VSTC players taking that next step from lessons and training into competitive tennis.
We wish all 12 teams the very best for the summer season. Most importantly compete hard, support your teammates and enjoy your tennis!
SENIORS / OPEN TENNIS
The Winter Pennant season has also been completed, with another strong year of senior competition for VSTC.
We had four teams competing this winter, with three of the four winning through their sectional finals to reach the Grade Finals series and earn the opportunity to compete for a pennant.
Unfortunately, all three teams fell just short in their semi-finals, but reaching that stage of the competition was a terrific achievement and something everyone involved should be proud of.
It has been fantastic to have four teams representing VSTC this winter, and we look forward to continuing to grow our participation in senior pennant tennis next year.
A big thank you to everyone who helped make the season possible, and particularly to our VSC 1’s Captain, Daniel Grubb, who has been instrumental in the continued growth and success of pennant tennis at VSTC.
Congratulations and thank you to all of our players, captains, parents, team managers and supporters who represented and supported the club throughout the winter season.
We look forward to seeing even more VSTC players out on court this summer!
